Side Project: Volume 28 - The 28th installment of their side project series (and adds a nod to Deep Purple) with Smoke on the Porter. The beer is a Baltic Porter, brewed with smoked malt, and aged on French Oak Spirals. Subtle vanilla and chicory aromas give way to roasty flavors that highlight the dark malts in the beer. The smoke makes its largest contribution in a dry finish. From the Label: Like music to your ears, “Smoke on the Porter” is that song you just can’t seem to get out of your head. Brewed with beech wood-smoked malt and aged on French Oak, this old world lager will keep you humming that familiar tune.
The cider is crystal clear with a yellow color that evokes a deeply oaked chardonnay. Aromas are sweet, candy-like, and full of that apple-type of character with a hint of vanilla. The flavor is sweet, full of apple as one would expect, a bit of tartness, and finishes with that fleshy drying sensation. The carbonation is present and is neither too spritzy or flat, but a happy medium.
Aroma of fresh apple pie. Taste is just like an apple pie with cinnamon, pie crust and nutmeg. Gold pour, light head. Sweet and well balanced.

We add pineapple juices to our fermented apple base to produce a 5% ABV cider that has a great pineapple nose and a semi-sweet initial taste with a tart finish. It is extremely refreshing and very quaffable for cider, beer, or wine drinkers. It is delicious when consumed ice cold. We got the idea for the cider on one of our many visits to the beautiful and inspiring Hawaiian Islands. It’s the ideal tropical drink especially in hot and humid climates.

First Quadrupel in the world. 25 years ago, The Koningshoeven brewery baptized her beloved Quadrupel under the approving glance of the monks. A closely guarded recipe became reality, and the first Quadrupel beer in the world was born. Warm amber-coloured with a crème-coloured head. Aroma has hints of cloves and nuts, balanced by the sweet aromas of vanilla, raisins and banana. A full, warming and intensive taste. Malty with the sweet tones of date and caramel. Our classic Raison D’Etre aged with Syrah grape must & brett. Our Alternate Takes series offers a peek into our iterative and creative R&D process, where each batch is celebrated as its own off-centered hit. Alternate Takes #2 began with Raison D’Etre being end-fermented in a tank with a Belgian Abbey yeast. Then we transferred it to single-use red wine barrels, where we added Syrah grape must and brettanomyces. The result is a wild sour ale with a deep, dark and complex flavor.

This oak-aged hybrid has been gaining popularity over the past few years and is now available year-round. For Burton Baton, we brew two "threads," or batches, of beer: an English-style old ale and an imperial IPA. After fermenting the beers separately in our stainless tanks, they're transferred and blended together in one of our large oak tanks. Burton Baton sits on the wood for about a month. When enjoying the Burton Baton, you'll find an awesome blend of the citrus notes from Northwestern hops melding with woody, vanilla notes from the oak. The wood also tends to mellow the 10% ABV of Burton, so tread cautiously!
An unfiltered, unfettered, unprecedented brown ale aged in handmade wooden brewing vessels. The caramel and vanilla complexity unique to this beer comes from the exotic Paraguayan Palo Santo wood from which these tanks were crafted. Palo Santo means "holy tree," and its wood has been used in South American wine-making communities.

Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale. With a little creative curiosity, we used spent bourbon casks, fresh from decanting, and filled them with our very own Kentucky Ale. From barrels that once held the finest bourbons of Kentucky, we present Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale, a smooth, golden elixir unlike any other. Subtle yet familiar flavors of vanilla and oak are imparted to this special ale as it rests in the charred barrel. We attribute this to what the bourbon maker calls the “angel’s share”. Elegantly smooth and modestly carbonated, Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale is a fine sipping ale with the distinctive nose of a well-crafted Kentucky bourbon.
Kasteel Rouge is a unique blend of Kasteel Donker and a sweet cherry liqueur. This fruity beer makes a great aperitif on a sunny terrace. It’s certainly a beer for lovers of sweet cherries with an overpowering aroma of the fruit. The cherries get the better of the malt in the Kasteel Donker mother beer, although it contributes touches of chocolate and pepper to remind you it’s there. It is surprisingly easily digestible for quite a strong beer.
Part of the Cellar 3 Limited Reserve Series Barrel Aged Barleywine. A very strong ale with hop character, rich malt flavors, and prevalent alcohol with a very long finish.
While most lagers give away most of their taste profile in the front of the mouth, Pilsner Urquell only hints at its flavour there. Instead, it develops you in the middle, followed by a refreshing, clean finish and balanced aftertaste, practically inviting you to have another. It is called the "model of meter" among beers. All other pilsners are a better or worse attempt to copy the original - the first ever Pilsner Urquell. Its unparalleled exceptionality is guaranteed by the same recipe dating from 1842.
An authentic German pilsner brewed with noble hops customary to Bavarian tradition.
This beer started out as Trump Golden Ale, served at Trump Towers as a house beer. That was, until Donald Trump made comments in his recent speeches characterizing some illegal hispanic immigrants as criminals and lawbreakers. That sentiment didn’t resonate well with Andres Araya, who owns 5 Rabbit, a Latin-American themed brewery. Those comments prompted him to sever ties with Trump Tower completely. The golden ale will now be packaged with a new name – 5 Rabbit Chinga tu Pelo. In case you aren’t up on your foreign languages, that translates to “F--k your Hair.”
Classic German Kolsch. Delicately balanced golden ale brewed with German Noble hops.
A perfectly crafted American Wheat Ale, that gives your fun in the sun day and everyday the drinkability it's always needed. The American hop varieties will impart a mild spice note and a subtle island citrus character.
If you like your coffee black and bitter this is for you. We packed this beer with over 100+ IBU's brought to you from aggressive early hop additions. Brown Shugga...How come you taste so good? We believe this Special Ale is Something Unique. Feeding Brown Cane Sugar to otherwise Cultured Brewery Yeast is a'kin to feeding Raw Shark to your Gerbil. It is unlikely to ever occur in nature without Human Intervention. And it looks weird besides. But it's happened and now it's too Late. Originally a failed attempt at our 1997 batch of Olde GanrlyWine Ale resulting in an all-new-beer-style we like to call….Irresponsible.
Originally brewed in Key West, The Florida Beer Company continues to carry on the tradition of brewing the beer of the "Conch Republic". Dead Guy is created from Northwest Harrington, Klages, Maier Munich and Carastan malts, along with Perle and Saaz Hops. In the early 1990s Dead Guy Ale was created as a private tap sticker to celebrate the Mayan Day of the Dead (November 1st, All Souls Day) for Casa U Betcha in Portland, Oregon. The Dead Guy design proved popular and was incorporated into a bottled product a few years later with MaierBock as the elixir.

So good it’s almost wrong. Dark ruby in color and brewed with seven varieties of imported malts. Complex in finish, with hints of smoke and peat, paired with a malty richness and a right hook of hop power to give it the bad attitude that a beer named Dirty Bastard has to live up to. Ain’t for the wee lads.
You're not worthy! This is an aggressive beer. You probably won’t like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to be able to appreciate an ale of this quality and depth. We would suggest that you stick to safer and more familiar territory—may something with a multimillion-dollar ad campaign aimed at convincing you it’s made in a little brewery, or one that implies that their tasteless fizzy yellow beer will give you more sex appeal. Perhaps you think multimillion-dollar ad campaigns make a beer taste better. Perhaps you’re mouthing your words as you read this.
An audacious, celebratory blend of three Bastards..A dry-hopped blend of Arrogant Bastard, Double Bastard and OAKED Arrogant Bastard. Lukcy Basartd Ale was first released in November 2010 in celebration of the (lucky) 13th anniversary of Arrogant Bastard Ale. This powerfully complex beer is an amalgamation of three Bastards—Arrogant Bastard Ale, Double Bastard Ale and OAKED Arrogant Bastard Ale — unceremoniously thrown together and then dry-hopped to excess, providing a fittingly immoderate blast of malty, hoppy flavor. Those Worthy souls who possess the nerve to try it will be rewarded with a delicious assault on their taste buds.

Virginia Brewery Prototype #NoFilter Fresh Drink Before Christmas In most cases, skipping a step is a bad thing. Not this time. This version of Stone Enjoy By IPA omits the part where we filter out the extra yeast, hop sediment and proteins that build up in beer as a natural result of the brewing process. Though it may sound like it, this missed step was no misstep. By letting this IPA go unfiltered, its peach and tropical fruit hop flavors are amplified while its golden-hued color takes on a hazy appearance. Like its filtered counterpart, this IPA is brewed specifically NOT to last, and is shipped immediately to ensure hopheads get their hands on it as soon as possible.
Brewed with 100% Centennial hops from the Pacific Northwest and named after the Two Hearted River in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, this IPA is bursting with hop aromas ranging from pine to grapefruit from massive hop additions in both the kettle and the fermenter. A West Coast Double IPA So mega-hopped it will take you to hop heaven. We’ve used hops in the boil, more hops in the giant hopback, and added to that, an incredible amount of dry-hopping for that cutting-edge “hop bite.” Once you’ve tasted this unique beer, all others pale in comparison.
An honest to goodness India Pale Ale brewed with a bevy of real citrus. Flesh & Blood began with a ton of real citrus including lemon flesh and blood orange juice—hence the name—plus orange and lemon peel. Then the brewers began searching for the perfect combination of hops to perfectly complement the citrus flavors. After trialing number of different hops one-by-one, they emerged with Warrior and Centennial. So what does this focus on simple, pure unadulterated fruit mean in terms of the aromatics and flavors in this beer? Flesh & Blood balances the resinous hoppy characteristics of an American IPA with the explosive zesty fruitiness and subtle drying tartness of citrus to deliver a highly quaffable ale that’s incredibly unique and lovely to down the whole year round.
Our pale ale brewed with Pennsylvania spruce tips. A spruce-infused pale ale, Pennsylvania Tuxedo pays homage to the flannel-suited hunters and gatherers who dwell deep in the backcountry of north-central PA. Brewed in collaboration with family-run outdoor clothing company Woolrich, Pennsylvania Tuxedo is a sessionable concoction with a grassy citrus kick complemented by the resinous conifer notes of fresh green spruce tips. We went into the forests of north-central Pennsylvania and Georgetown, Del., to pick these fresh tips ourselves. A dry yet doughy malt backbone lets the hops and spruce shine while still balancing out the bitterness, making this one an easy sipper.
Spruce Tip Ale Just when we thought Lloyd couldn’t possibly be any dumber, he went and did something like this… and totally redeemed himself! When Lloyd was riding across America he wasn’t thinking about much. Mostly because he’s pretty dumb. However, one of the few dumb things he thought about turned into something pretty fantastic, putting spruce tips into a beer. We started off Lloyd’s creation with a generously hopped amber ale and added a colossal amount of spruce tips. Up front flavors of hops and an assertive essence of spruce are balanced perfectly with a hearty malt backbone, giving this beer all of the elements needed to prevail as the smartest thing Lloyd has ever done.

Our Caramel Cream Ale was developed to showcase the wonderful caramel notes in dark crystal malts. In addition to the malt complexity and creamy mouthfeel, this beer finishes with a hint of vanilla. There are no substitutes for this very special American Ale. Interesting Fact: The unforgettable flavor of this beer is the result of 100′s of test brews to refine the recipe and method. Head brewer and brewery owner, Mike Halker, brewed this beer for his wife Jodi who, for 2 years, kept saying “almost” until he worked his magic and made it the beer it is today.
Double spiced ale brewed in the tradition of Swedish Glögg. Swedish flags are a fairly common sight in our part of the country. Holiday parties often have warm concoctions of spices and booze ready to knock the ice off of toes while raising spirits. We were inspired by a glogg party, deciding on the spot to brew a beer that pays tribute to this Nordic tradition. 2XMas ale combines traditional breweing ingredients with figs, orange peels, cardamom, cinnamon, clove and ginger root. Its a holiday addition to the 2X line and another reason to toast the season, but unlike Glogg, we recommend serving this one chilled.
