First Quadrupel in the world. - 25 years ago, The Koningshoeven brewery baptized her beloved Quadrupel under the approving glance of the monks. A closely guarded recipe became reality, and the first Quadrupel beer in the world was born. Warm amber-coloured with a crème-coloured head. Aroma has hints of cloves and nuts, balanced by the sweet aromas of vanilla, raisins and banana. A full, warming and intensive taste. Malty with the sweet tones of date and caramel. Smooth and light bitter aftertaste.
Dorée (Gold) has been brewed inside the abbey walls since 1862, but was only available for the private consumption of the monks. They did not want to hurt local breweries who brewed light-drinking beers called Bier de Ménage or “household beer.” Thankfully in 2013 this drinkable Trappist style was allowed to leave the abbey walls. Named “Dorée” for its delicate golden color, this refreshingly crisp ale brings a delicious balance of citrus and spice. A fluffy white head releases the aromas of summer fruits followed by sparkling mouthfeel which ends with a hint of bitterness.
The Westmalle Abbey, north of Antwerp in Flanders, Belgium, was founded in 1794 and began to brew beer in 1836. The brewery is one of only seven Trappist breweries in the world, and is renowned for defining the Dubbel (or Double) and Tripel (or Triple) styles. Amber-brown color, with a subtle deep-caramel aroma and flavor balanced by Belgian yeast character. Deeply malty, with a dry finish that hints at tropical fruit, this is the classic Belgian Double, or in Flemish "Dubbel."

Pumpkin puree and pie spices, malty, bready; cinnamon dominates with nutmeg and vanilla in the background.
Inspired by our favorite fall latte, this ale is brewed with pumpkin, fall spices, and a splash of coffee. This fall treat is another tribute to all the days that Dunkin’ has helped us fire up the brew kettle.
When you make a pot of coffee, but only use half the water, you get some pretty rich coffee. That’s the approach we took with our latest offering. OBP Squared, with half the water, has 11% alcohol by volume - twice that of original OBP. The result is a bold, distinct taste of its own. Made with twice as much real orange blossom honey, all-natural ingredients and no refined sugar, it really is the new king bee of beers.
Without a doubt, pils (also called ‘pilsner’) is Germany’s favourite style of beer. Fans of this style of brewing enjoy the dry, bitter flavour and light colour that is typical of the beers it produces. The name originates from the Bohemian town of Pilsen in the Czech Republic, where it was first produced in 1842, and we’ve been brewing this style of beer to perfection here in Bitburg since 1883. We lay claim to using the term "Pilsener" for the first time in Germany, way back in 1883, and pioneering pilsner as an official designated beer style in Germany. And over the years it’s grown quite popular – we’re incredibly proud that Bitburger Premium Pils is the most poured premium pilsner in bars across Germany! Our straw-coloured pilsner is crystal-clear and perfectly hopped, boasting a light taste and a lasting foam head with extra-fine bubbles. This all combines for a moment of pure pilsner enjoyment.

This hopped-up whopper of a beer is big in character and guaranteed to sear itself into your memory, just like “the world’s worst superhero,” Florida Man. A modern Double IPA with a tropical expression from the blend of American hops including Pacific Jade, Galaxy, Azacca, Lemon Drop and Simcoe is balanced by delicate peach esters from a unique Double IPA yeast and a dash of Canadian honey malt.
Fresh, which is Civil Society's flagship IPA, is brewed with Amarillo, Columbus and Citra hops. Like a true NEIPA (New England IPA) it is purposely hazy or cloudy, which will give this beer a smooth, creamy mouthfeel.
For this year’s anniversary beer, we found inspiration in the southern hemisphere. This double IPA is brewed with Peacharine and Riwaka hops, along with a special ingredient called Phantasm – an extract from sauvignon blanc grape skins – all sourced from New Zealand. Combined with some good old fashioned Mosaic hops from the US and an amped up grain bill and we’ve got ourselves a unique sensory experience full of dankness and tropical citrusy notes. We brewed this special IPA to commemorate the establishment of the Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument.
