The House of Brews is a local place where friends gather to enjoy a bite to eat, share great company and to truly experience specialty beers & boutique wines.
Named after the city where it all began, Kalamazoo Stout is one of our most classic recipes. This smooth, full-bodied stout offers a blend of aromas and flavors of dark chocolate and freshly roasted coffee, balanced with a significant hop presence.
Chocolate aroma introduces the beer as hints of caramel and molasses come forward followed closely by lingering espresso roast. The complex layers of flavor are further enhanced by barrel aging to give a subtle smoothness that is reminiscent of spilt moonshine in southern dirt…That’s Dixie Dirt!
We are not the harbingers of truth as some may suggest but it may indeed be argued that our brewing philosophy is tantamount to a dessert with a bellicose past. How, you may ask, would a brewery determine a likeness to hard-coated custard? Our response is simple; it’s all in the power of history, and of course, the extra finesse needed to top off a contentious treat with definition. The British founders of burnt cream and from Spain, crema catalana, both stand by their creative originality and we respect that, but it was the French Crème Brûlée, amid the strife of contention, that survived to represent our deliciously creamy brew.
Black as night, this coffee stout is thick, rich and full of real coffee flavor. Brewed with a special blend of beans from all over the world developed and roasted specifically for Terrapin by our friends at Jittery Joe’s Coffee right here in Athens, GA. This unique blend of coffee produces a robust and flavorful beer that will leave you asking “Why not Beer?” for breakfast! Coffee: Premium blend of Costa Rican, Guatemalan, & Zimbabwe

It starts with a proprietary blend of local Java Dog Coffee, roasted the moment before going into the brew to maintain the fresh flavor released from the beans. This custom coffee blend is then paired with over 150 pounds of fresh coconut to create a roaring aroma with a rich and smooth flavor.
The cider is crystal clear with a yellow color that evokes a deeply oaked chardonnay. Aromas are sweet, candy-like, and full of that apple-type of character with a hint of vanilla. The flavor is sweet, full of apple as one would expect, a bit of tartness, and finishes with that fleshy drying sensation. The carbonation is present and is neither too spritzy or flat, but a happy medium.
Aroma of fresh apple pie. Taste is just like an apple pie with cinnamon, pie crust and nutmeg. Gold pour, light head. Sweet and well balanced.
Doc's Draft Peach Cider is a balanced combination of a juicy and sweet peach with the pure apple flavor of our original Apple Cider. Our newest variety, Doc's Draft Peach Cider is as refreshing as a summer breeze

Chocolate malt and real dark chocolate are combined with Young’s award winning rich, full flavored dark beer to craft a satisfyingly indulgent experience.
Kasteel Rouge is a unique blend of Kasteel Donker and a sweet cherry liqueur. This fruity beer makes a great aperitif on a sunny terrace. It’s certainly a beer for lovers of sweet cherries with an overpowering aroma of the fruit. The cherries get the better of the malt in the Kasteel Donker mother beer, although it contributes touches of chocolate and pepper to remind you it’s there. It is surprisingly easily digestible for quite a strong beer.
Limited release. Tart cherries are known as a “super food” and have one of the highest levels of antioxidants of any food, a truly brilliant red color, and a clean, bright, juicy aroma and flavor that’s accentuated by their natural acidity. The nose is defined by equal parts bright lactic acidity and cherry notes with a hint of coriander. On the palate, the strong lactic acidity is accentuated by the natural tartness of the cherry juice. The beer finishes very clean and in conjunction with the salt in the finish, it definitely makes you want to come back for more.
The 29th installment of Orchid Island Brewery’s "Grove to Glass Craft Beer Project." This is an American Sour Ale brewed with 4,000 International Citrus Units (ICUs) of zest and juice from Indian River County-grown Ruby Red Grapefruit and the pulp of several pounds of south Florida-grown Red Dragon Fruit. The Dragon Fruit lends a touch of tropical fruitiness to the beer and imparts a vibrant burnt-orange hue. Grove Fight has the aroma and flavor of freshly squeezed grapefruit juice with a tangy, tart, slightly sweet finish.
S’Tart launches Barrel of Monks into the the fascinating world of Belgian - style sour beers. This beer is made with the finest European malt and hops, soured with lactobacillus, then fermented with a Belgian yeast strain that adds fruity character. Our brewers strived to find a balance between a pleasant tartness and malt sweetness, achieving complex fruit flavors and aromas such as apricot and tart peaches without the addition of fruit.
Wheat Wine with Strawberries and Vanilla Hey pal, this ain't just some sweet little thang. This fierce, frosted goddess is none other than Strawberry Shortcake, a righteous wheat wine brewed with just enough whole strawberries and fragrant vanilla beans to temper its ferocious nature. So beer bros, take heed: it's time to hail to the queen, baby.
A magical, mystical Monkey whose golden soul glows with the wisdom of the ages. This warming, flavored ale is rich in the spirited tradition of Belgian-inspired brewing. Our Golden Monkey is both playfully delightful and profoundly satisfying. Exotic spices from the East round out this global journey to joy. Get on board. This Monkey’s bound for glory! Strong and sensual, this golden Belgian-style ale glows with goodness. The richness of imported malts and Belgian yeast are tempered by a sparkling approach and overall light body. Considerable depth of character with abundant, herbal, fruity notes make this one to savor.
Three Fates is gold in color, highly carbonated with a dense white head that lasts. The mouthfeel is full but not heavy. The aroma is spicy and floral, with a hint of hops. The flavor is complex this beer is fairly dry for it’s ABV but has a blend of spicy notes and fruity esters there are hints of clove and light fruits aside the bready malt flavor. This beer is made with a special Belgian yeast strain that helps give this unique flavor profile. The hop finish is mild but present noble hops help balance the other flavors to make this a very drinkable beer. The 9% ABV is well hidden, so be careful!
Collaboration with Due South Brewing. An Iconoclast is a person or figure that attacks and criticizes widely-held beliefs or beloved institutions. Think J.J. Abrams with the Star Trek franchise. The beloved belief in their sights is that Belgian-style beers shouldn’t be hoppy. And while hopped Belgian beers are common, it’s rare to find one so smooth and flavorful. The hops are present, but subtle. Iconoclast uses a blend of European and American hops, both in the boil and dry hopped, to bring a large, fruit-forward flavor to the beer. Barrel of Monks uses their signature yeast to add a slightly onion funkiness to the big, biscuity malt that connects the flavors of orange, lemon, and berry from the hops.
Quadraphonic is the strongest of our Abbey series and is meant to be sipped and savored. It is a dark brown ale with a complex profile. On the nose, expect malty sweetness with complex esters including some dark fruit aromas (raisin, plum, fig). The mouth feel is medium carbonation with full body, there is a rich creamy head. The flavor is rich and full, a real “mouth bomb”. Malt flavors predominate, with spicy and dark fruit notes raisins and dark cherries with dark chocolate come to mind. It is fairly dry for the ABV, keeping it “digestible” as the Belgians would say. This is a smooth drinking beer that can be dangerous, go easy on this one!
Barrel Aged Belgian Dark Ale Pours barely dark chocolate brown with a creamy head. Aroma offers caramel and roast malt notes. Flavor delivers fruity, caramel, roasted malt and resin hop character, quite tasty. A walk in the park - with a monk!

This Imperial version of Maple Bacon Coffee Porter is aged in Bourbon barrels for months, lending smoothness to the smokey, salty, rich combo of maple syrup, fresh roasted coffee, and bacon.
This is our firstborn brew, whose accidental discovery started our story in 2003. Its originality also lies in its singular taste – notes of biscuity malt and vanilla swirling within a creamy, mellow character. A pioneering beer, its flavour finds favour with brewing juries, blind tasting panels and barflies alike.
Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale. With a little creative curiosity, we used spent bourbon casks, fresh from decanting, and filled them with our very own Kentucky Ale. From barrels that once held the finest bourbons of Kentucky, we present Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale, a smooth, golden elixir unlike any other. Subtle yet familiar flavors of vanilla and oak are imparted to this special ale as it rests in the charred barrel. We attribute this to what the bourbon maker calls the “angel’s share”. Elegantly smooth and modestly carbonated, Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale is a fine sipping ale with the distinctive nose of a well-crafted Kentucky bourbon.
DRAFT ONLY EXCLUSIVE Red Ale with Cocoa Nibs and Vanilla What makes a red velvet cake red? Damned if we know. But it tastes so good. Our interpretation of a Red Velvet Cake comes in the form of a dry English red ale infused with cocoa nibs and vanilla beans. Pour yourself a slice.
This oak-aged hybrid has been gaining popularity over the past few years and is now available year-round. For Burton Baton, we brew two "threads," or batches, of beer: an English-style old ale and an imperial IPA. After fermenting the beers separately in our stainless tanks, they're transferred and blended together in one of our large oak tanks. Burton Baton sits on the wood for about a month. When enjoying the Burton Baton, you'll find an awesome blend of the citrus notes from Northwestern hops melding with woody, vanilla notes from the oak. The wood also tends to mellow the 10% ABV of Burton, so tread cautiously!
When you make a pot of coffee, but only use half the water, you get some pretty rich coffee. That’s the approach we took with our latest offering. OBP Squared, with half the water, has 11% alcohol by volume - twice that of original OBP. The result is a bold, distinct taste of its own. Made with twice as much real orange blossom honey, all-natural ingredients and no refined sugar, it really is the new king bee of beers.
This is the “Moscow Mule” of beer! Fresh grated ginger & a bit of red pepper flakes add a spicy, somewhat hot flavor note. Ginger adds a nice pungent, floral aroma as a complement to the sweetness of the agave syrup, lime & malt backbone. Lime concentrate adds a mildly acidic & tart note that balances the Agave sweetness. It adds a new dimension of flavor & aroma. Organic Azul Raw Light Agave Nectar was added directly into the kettle at the start of the boil. Agave is comparable, though not identical, to honey. The lighter syrups undergo less heating & a more thorough filtration for a more mildly flavored product. We chose Cascade & Willamette hops because of their spicy, citrusy aroma & grapefruit notes. The sweetness of lime & agave pair nicely with these bright, floral hops. The slight spiciness of Cascade hops contrasts the lime concentrate. This beer blurs the lines between craft beer & cocktails.

Salute to Perfection Saison brewed with grape must and Champagne yeast. In the summer of 1972, Miami's own football team began a campaign of perfection that no other organization had ever achieved - or has ever matched. This beer is made in honor of that achievement. We use real Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grape musts along with saison and Champagne yeasts to create a beer that drinks, quite literally, like some fine bubbly. So raise a glass of this fine, effervescent brew to celebrate the continued and uninterrupted dominance of one of the greatest units to ever take the field. (Note: this beer is not affiliated with any sports team - it's just a salute from some lifelong fans.)
A perfectly crafted American Wheat Ale, that gives your fun in the sun day and everyday the drinkability it's always needed. The American hop varieties will impart a mild spice note and a subtle island citrus character.
White Wizard is our take on the “white” beers revived by Pierre Celis in the 1960’s, a wheat beer that is pale in color and naturally cloudy. It is a spiced ale using coriander and Florida orange peel to add a citrus crispiness that makes it a refreshing and drinkable ale. There is a light hop finish to add to the drinkability of this beer.
GFB is a light, refreshing, crushable blonde ale with hints of honey and orange peel complemented by a mellow malt character. At 4.8%, it is expertly crafted to enhance any occasion.
Classic German Kolsch. Delicately balanced golden ale brewed with German Noble hops.
Originally brewed in Key West, The Florida Beer Company continues to carry on the tradition of brewing the beer of the "Conch Republic". Key West Sunset Ale is an American medium-bodied amber ale with a tropical twist. Brewed with 2-row and caramel malts, blended with First Gold, Chinook and Mount Hood hops, to create a crisp, satisfying taste.
Our Rod Bender Red is an American style amber ale which is characterized by medium to high malt character and medium to low caramel flavor. American amber ales have a medium bitterness derived from American grown hops. They are usually darker in color which comes from the addition of darker caramel malts and typically have more body than pale ales.
You're not worthy! This is an aggressive beer. You probably won’t like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to be able to appreciate an ale of this quality and depth. We would suggest that you stick to safer and more familiar territory—may something with a multimillion-dollar ad campaign aimed at convincing you it’s made in a little brewery, or one that implies that their tasteless fizzy yellow beer will give you more sex appeal. Perhaps you think multimillion-dollar ad campaigns make a beer taste better. Perhaps you’re mouthing your words as you read this.
Limited Draft Release Our take on the "liquid bread" brewed by monks during fasts... but the Prince of Demons is a pure pagan palate puncher. Super intense malt character that sips surprisingly easy.
A West Coast IPA Our original single IPA made with Simcoe and Amarillo hops “in harmony.”
The Sunrise City IPA is a rich, bold and balanced American IPA. With over 3 lbs. of hops per barrel, your experience with this beer starts well before it even gets close to your lips with a wallop of huge citrus, melon and pine aromas. The complex grain bill acts as a perfect soft backdrop for the big American hops.
Meet your new wingman. Balanced, East coast-style IPA If you’re looking for hops, we’ve got your tail. Hop Gun IPA delivers a payload of good ol’ American hops straight to your palate, bursting forth with the flavors of grapefruit and pineapple. A careful dose of smooth caramel malts swoop in to balance out the finish — just like any good wingman should.
Once our eyes were opened to the potential of the hop cone, we couldn't be stopped. With a laser focus, we magnified the hop factor, and pushed the boundaries of flavor, aroma, and perception itself to create HI-RES. It's Mad Science. We crafted RESIN as an embodiment of the sticky quintessence of hops… a liquid hymn to beer’s bittering bite.
Darkly heroic, Humulus Lupulus (hops) have empowered brews with bite and character since the 11th century. DirtWolf is a tribute to these untamed vines which rise from the earth with the voracity of a “wolf among sheep.” Hops have made an assertive comeback in American craft brewing. Revel in the best U.S. varieties of hops, in their natural, whole flower form, as they bring a vital, pungent reality to the soul of a wild element in our dangerously satisfying DirtWolf Double IPA. This dangerously delicious recipe features often subtle, but sometimes assertive signatures of American hop varieties. Look for: Citra: heavy citrus aroma, fruity flavor; Chinook: grapefruit, resinous pine; Simcoe: dry, piney; and Mosaic: earthy and mildly floral, with notes of sweet citrus and spice.
Birthday IPA We were so impressed with this year’s harvest in Yakima we decided to brew 2017’s anniversary brew with our favorite hops from the trip: Roy Farms Chinook, Roy Farms Centennial, and Black Star Ranch Mosaic. Aggressive kettle and dry-hopping will showcase notes of pine, resinous hop character, and tropical fruit. Slight haze.
Aged on French oak chips, featuring Centennial, Chinook, and Cascade hops, four malts, plus a new ingredient – New York maple syrup. Roasted malts bring a deep amber hue that’s matched by drums of maple syrup, which are added to help boost fermentation & provide a clean, earthy component with a slight residual sweetness. The resulting beer full of citrus and pine up front, with a touch of maple sweetness in the finish.
An India Pale Ale kicked up a notch to form a true Double IPA: feverishly hoppy with a malty backbone and higher-than-standard alcohol content. Citrusy hops tease the senses with aromatics and lingering bitterness, while just the right balance of malts disguises 2XIPA’s extra gravity. Double your expectations, this is an ale that demands reverence.
An india pale ale packed with whole tangerine & pineapple. Welcome to our vacation transportation express! This ain’t no just-add-juice approach. This one is for adults. We use bountiful whole tangerine purée, which brings pithy, crisp bitterness to the citrus flavor. In addition to the complexities of the tangerine — the likes of which you can only get by using the whole fruit — we judiciously employ just a hint of whole pineapple for a backnote (you’d likely not even pick it out of the mix if we didn’t tell you it was there). We’re not looking for a sweet concoction to appease the “I want my beer to taste like fruit juice” crowd. This is Stone. We like our IPAs to taste like IPAs. Big, bold and not for kids.
A Massively Dry-Hopped Deep Crimson IPA - A redder shade of IPA Pat-ASK-ala? Pata-SKALA? Pa-TASK-a-la? While those in the know favor the third pronunciation, no matter how you say it, this is a unique red IPA. The beer was first brewed in September 2015 to support music and arts education programs in Pataskala, Ohio, where Stone co-founder Greg Koch grew up. People there loved it, so we added the beer to our seasonal lineup. The deep crimson hue is courtesy of a fairly new special German malt variety by BESTMALZ called Red X. Dry-hopped with Mosaic, Cascade and Amarillo hops, this beer is incredibly citrus-forward, rounded out with biscuit and toffee notes. We think you’ll find this red IPA to be quite deliciously satisfying, no matter how you choose to pronounce it.
Special Limited Release We added a shot of Joe to our Our Screamin’ Reels India Pale Ale. The hops in this beer slam your tongue like a school of dolphin in the spread making those reels scream! This hoppy Florida IPA pays homage to the West Coast style, with ‘piney’ and ’citrusy’ flavors, accented with a subtle malt backbone, suiting the palates of most hop heads.
Hoppy? Brother, 471 IPA redefines hoppy. 471 is a small batch, limited edition ale that was created by our Brewmaster to separate the weak from the strong. 471 is a double IPA, that combines Pale, Munich, Caramel-30, Carapils and Torrified Wheat malts, with Chinook, Centennial, Simcoe and Fuggles hops. It has a big sweet mouthfeel, followed by more hoppiness than you've ever had at one time. Enjoy.
Dry-hopped American Pale Ale made using a secret selection of hops to give this nice dry beer a lemon/lime aroma and citrus & slight tropical fruit flavor. Although this brew Hits the classification of an APA, it drinks like a session IPA perfect for a day on the boat fishing the reef. Reef Donkey is slang for the Greater Amberjack gamefish which inhabit our coastal wrecks and reefs.
Cutthroat is a Utah classic. Brewed with caramel malts and piney American hops, our flagship beer goes well with anywhere.
This dark golden coloured ale hugs the palate with great intensity. Its malty aroma is complemented by the gentle nose of Banana. Its flavour unfolds with a sensual sparkle and a smart crispness, which balances its aroma perfectly. Tropically fruity; its ripe banana flavour, emphasised by a hint of bitterness, comes from the addition of real fair trade bananas and finishes with an emphatic, steely dryness.

It’s perfect for times when you crave a beer utterly refreshing and low in alcohol. A true thirst quencher everyone enjoys.

Appearance: Brilliant, golden color with a light fluffy head. Aroma: Hints of sweet coconut, vanilla and caramel. Overall: Delicious sessionable beer with a nice balance between coconut and caramel sweetness.
Our Caramel Cream Ale was developed to showcase the wonderful caramel notes in dark crystal malts. In addition to the malt complexity and creamy mouthfeel, this beer finishes with a hint of vanilla. There are no substitutes for this very special American Ale. Interesting Fact: The unforgettable flavor of this beer is the result of 100′s of test brews to refine the recipe and method. Head brewer and brewery owner, Mike Halker, brewed this beer for his wife Jodi who, for 2 years, kept saying “almost” until he worked his magic and made it the beer it is today.
