  • Tap 07 - Magners Original Irish Hard Cider

We love making cider, but we reckon there’s only one way to do it properly. That’s why we’re still taking inspiration from the historic methods we used when we started making cider back in 1935. That’s part of the Magners taste. So in this way we use 17 varieties of apples, waiting until they drop before pressing and filtering them in the traditional way. We take time to ferment the cider and even more time to let it mature, up to 2 years in fact, tasting it along the way. Sure, there are faster ways of making cider, but then it wouldn’t be Magners.

It is thought that we harness this magic to brew our powerful pumpkin ale. Not so, but it is with great respect to the magic of their trade that our brewers produce this fine beer. Take a whiff of this complex ale and your journey has just begun. At first sip, a magical spell will bewitch your taste buds, yet another victim enraptured by the Pumking.

  • Tap 20 - Southern Tier Cold Press Coffee Pumking Imperial Ale

Imperial Pumpkin Ale with cold pressed light roast coffee. Cold press coffee is a lengthy process, but it results in a smooth coffee flavor with nutty, cocoa & chocolatey notes. Add these scrumptious tones to Pumking’s biscuity, pumpkin pie spices & you’ve got something extra special for fall. The cold brew process creates a perfectly balanced & distinctively smooth coffee taste. Many coffee beers are made using beans on the hot side- but not ours. A cold brew leaves behind the bitter acids and some fatty oils that can lead to a harsher, more vegetal taste transfer, and instead, highlights the roasted, comfortable coffee taste we all love. This, paired with the perfect pumpkin pie spice in our imperial Pumking ale creates the entire picture in just one sniff and sip.

Watermelon is the highlight of this lightly-hopped treat and gives it a hint of satisfying juiciness. • Tap 29 - Dogfish Head Burton Baton Oak Aged Imperial IPA

This oak-aged hybrid has been gaining popularity over the past few years and is now available year-round. For Burton Baton, we brew two "threads," or batches, of beer: an English-style old ale and an imperial IPA. After fermenting the beers separately in our stainless tanks, they're transferred and blended together in one of our large oak tanks. Burton Baton sits on the wood for about a month. When enjoying the Burton Baton, you'll find an awesome blend of the citrus notes from Northwestern hops melding with woody, vanilla notes from the oak. The wood also tends to mellow the 10% ABV of Burton, so tread cautiously!

    Rosh Hashanah 2017

    9/21/2017 2:00:00 PM - 2 days from now
In celebration of the High Holiday, Rosh Hashanah, we will be closed all day Thursday and reopen Friday at 2pm. Rosh Hashanah is the celebration of the Jewish New Year. According to Judaism, the fact that Rosh Hashanah is the beginning of the year is explained by it being the traditional anniversary of the creation of Adam and Eve, the first man and woman according to the Hebrew Bible, and their first actions toward the believed realization of humanity's role in God's world. According to one secular opinion its origin is in the beginning of the economic year in the ancient Near East, marking the start of the agricultural cycle.[1] Rosh Hashanah customs include sounding the shofar (a hollowed-out ram's horn), as prescribed in the Torah, following the prescription of the Hebrew Bible to "raise a noise" on Yom Teruah; and among its rabbinical customs is attending synagogue services and reciting special liturgy about teshuva, as also enjoying festive meals. Eating symbolic foods such as apples dipped in honey is now a tradition, hoping thereby to evoke a "sweet new year". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rosh_Hashanah
